A career built by crossing the line between thinking and making.
Ideas only become real when somebody takes the shot.
The name MereShot was inspired by the older phrase “a mere shot”—an attempt made without certainty of where it might lead.
That idea has followed me throughout my career: from software and experience design to startups, consulting and venture building. The interesting work has always started by taking a chance on a person, an idea, a new technology or a different way of doing things.
This is not risk for its own sake. It is a way to turn uncertainty into learning: think clearly, experiment early, make something real and use what happens next.
The phrase appears under “Chance” in an older Roget’s Thesaurus, alongside “venture” and “random shot”.
